LONDON: The Indian community has been identified as the most economically successful migrant group in the United Kingdom, with generations of Indians fundamentally shaping the nation's economic strength, public services and global competitiveness, according to a groundbreaking report by Aston University and multicultural agency Here & Now 365.
Drawing on comprehensive economic and labour market data, the report highlighted exceptional employment rates, strong educational achievement and deep entrepreneurial culture within the Indian diaspora. Indian-born professionals now comprise approximately 15 percent of the UK's technology workforce, a critical contribution to Britain's status as the world's second-largest tech ecosystem after the United States.
"Indian migrants helped rebuild Britain after the war, powered its digital revolution, and strengthened its health and care systems in times of crisis," said Manish Tiwari, Founder of Here & Now 365 . The report was formally launched at the House of Lords, signaling official recognition of the diaspora's transformative contributions.
