A 21 year old girl named Anupriya Nagar helped make a movie that has become a huge hit in India. But just one year ago, she was not thinking about movies at all. She was studying economics in college in the UK and getting ready to move to Switzerland for a job.
While doing a school project about Steve Jobs, the man who started Apple, Anupriya learned something surprising. Steve Jobs had once visited a holy place in India called Kainchi Dham. There, he met the teachings of a spiritual guru named Neem Karoli Baba, and this experience changed the way Jobs thought about life and his work.
Anupriya found this very interesting. She wondered why she was learning about an Indian saint from an American businessman instead of from India itself. This question made her curious to learn more.
Her curiosity led her back to India, where she met a filmmaker named Vishal Chaturvedi. He was already working on a movie about Neem Karoli Baba called Hanuman Ansh. Anupriya joined the project as a producer, helping to make the film happen.indianexpress+1
The movie was made with very little money, less than 2 crore rupees. At first, not many people watched it. But slowly, people started telling their friends and family how good it was. More and more people went to watch it, and the movie ended up earning over 100 crore rupees, way more than anyone expected.
Anupriya says everything happened by chance, calling it "pure coincidence" that a school project turned into a big movie success.
