About the Contest
The Bay Area Math Champion is an annual reasoning-based competition for students in Grades 1 to 6. It is designed to strengthen problem-solving skills, encourage a love for mathematics, and inspire young learners to excel in STEM education. The contest emphasizes reasoning and critical thinking to help students grow into confident and capable learners.
Contest Format
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Questions: 30–32 grade-appropriate multiple-choice questions
• Calculators/Electronics: Not allowed
• Participation: Individual
• Mode: In-person at designated test centers
• Materials Provided: MCQ answer sheets and worksheets
Our Unique Approach
• Grade-Specific Questions: Each grade receives a customized set of engaging questions aligned with their learning level. Younger students solve fun, puzzle-based problems.
• Fair Competition: Students compete only within their grade to ensure equal opportunity and balanced difficulty.
Recognition & Awards
• Top 3 Winners per Grade: Medals and Achievement Certificates
(Multiple 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions may be awarded at regional levels)
• All Participants: Participation Certificate
• Leaderboard: Winners featured on the official leaderboard
• Notification: Winners informed via email
Finals Invitation
First-place winners from each location will advance to the Final Round to compete for the title of Bay Area Math Champion.
Final Awards:
• 1st – Bay Area Champion
• 2nd – First Runner-up
• 3rd – Second Runner-up
Assessment Criteria
• +1 mark for each correct answer
• 0 marks for incorrect or unanswered questions
Rules & Regulations
• All questions are in English
• Individual participation only
• Answer sheets must be fully completed
• Test duration is 60 minutes and can be attempted once
• No calculators or electronic devices allowed
• Cheating leads to immediate disqualification
• Results announced on January 25, 2025
• Prizes are non-transferable and non-cashable
• Organizers’ decision is final
