Pinta Lane, Foster City, 94404 Natya Shubam, meaning auspicious dance, signifies the very essence of Bharatanatyam, an ancient dance form that originated in the temples of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the embodiment of music in visual form, a ceremony, and an act of devotion. Natya Shubam Dance Academy was established by Subhashini Rajagopal. Our academy works to teach and promote Bharatanatyam. Students are taught through a structured learning curriculum with regular stage performances. We are also actively engaged in the dance community, both local and international, fostering a love and appreciation for the art. Our mission is to develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts, through education and exploration.
